Sustainability…How Does Your College Rank?

The following is a link the the 2008 College Sustainability Report Card.  This report highlights 200 Colleges and Universities in the US and Canada that have the largest endowments.  Each institution is evaluated on 5 sections of their campus; Administration, Climate Change & Energy, Food & Recycling, Green Building, and Transportation. Some of the key findings in the Green Building category were:    Three in five schools have green building projects.    More than half of schools have adopted green building policies.

Locally, Johns Hopkins University earned a respectable B- while the University of Maryland received a C+.

    They didn’t include St. Mary’s in the list! St. Mary’s is almost finished with one of the State’s first Green buildings!
